Evelyn Palma is a senior multimedia journalism student at UTEP minoring in management. Palma is the web and copy editor at The Prospector. She is also the president of the UTEP chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and secretary of UTEP Student AdFed. Palma has recently completed an internship with the Sun Bowl Association as the media relations assistant. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in sports media or in news broadcasting.

The chatter of excited guests, crash of bowling pins being knocked down and sounds of arcade games humming fill the air–Gamescape by Cinemark has officially opened its first location in El Paso. With bowling, laser tag, arcade games and even a movie theater under one roof, this all-in-one venue is already making an impression on El Pasoans within its first week.

The Michelob Ultra El Paso Marathon, Raiz Federal Credit Union Half Marathon and Spine & Rehab Specialists 5K Run/Walk took place late February, with a record-breaking number of participants. Whether running for a personal goal or cheering on racers, participants from near and far found themselves amongst the support and embrace by the El Paso community.
