It has been almost one week since Hurricane Harvey ripped through southeast Texas, leaving many without a home or their belongings. Already 46 people have died because of the tropical storm and has caused an estimated $80 million in damages so far, according to the Washington Post.
The aftermath of the hurricane has left many people in need of basic necessities like water, clothing, toiletries, baby products and more. Here is a list of places and events in El Paso where you can donate items to help those who have been affected:
UTEP Athletics
UTEP athletics will be collecting items such as water, baby diapers, towel, baby food, and other toiletries at the following games:
9/8 volleyball vs. Saford, 9/8 Soccer vs. Incarnate Word, 9/9 volleyball vs. Delaware, 9/9 football vs. Rice and 9/10 volleyball vs. Abilene Christian.
The Salvation Army of El Paso drop off sites
4300 E. Paisano, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Saturday
El Paso County Courthouse, 500 E. San Antonio Ave., first and third floor lobby areas. Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday Sept. 7 – Doors open at 7:30 for all ages
Donations and basic items will be accepted.
