UTEP has received another shipment of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, according to an email sent by President Heather Wilson on Tuesday. 

Wilson said the University will be able to vaccinate about 1,000 more high-risk students, faculty and staff on Thursday, Jan. 28 and Friday, Jan. 29 at the Interdisciplinary Research Building.  

Faculty, staff and students who have completed the vaccination questionnaire and consent forms and are in the highest priority groups will get an email to schedule a vaccination appointment, Wilson wrote. These forms may be found at vaccinequestionnaire.utep.edu.

This marks the second batch of vaccines sent to UTEP to administer to its community. Last week, UTEP vaccinated 1,148 people in the highest priority groups, which includes healthcare workers, people involved in the COVID-19 testing and vaccination programs, those who are 65 and older, and those 18 and older who have a health condition that makes them vulnerable to COVID-19. 

UTEP will continue conducting its vaccine program by appointment only, with no walk-in vaccinations permitted.
