UTEP men’s basketball crushes the Falcons

UTEP’s men's basketball (2-1, 0-0 Conference USA) wrapped up its third game of the season with a much-needed winning comeback. With a 20-4 lead from UTEP in the beginning, both teams hustled to the final score. Head Coach Joe Golding expressed his enthusiasm for the first half but noted the improvement still needed by the team.

UTEP women’s basketball comes out victorious against the Morehead State Eagles 68-41 in its second home game, starting the Miners’ winning streak. The night also honored El Pasoan and UTEP alumni Kayla Thornton with a retirement of her jersey.

UTEP’s women’s tennis displayed strong victories through the three-day invitational which took place Nov. 1-3. The team finished the tournament with strong performances: Telzynska remained undefeated in both singles and doubles, Zhang stayed undefeated in singles, and the duo of Mencaglia and Telzynska defeated Sam Houston in doubles.

14th Annual Miner Dash helps kick off Homecoming Week

As UTEP’s 2024 Homecoming has come and gone, the results of the 14th Annual Miner Dash 5k Run/3k walk will stick around forever. The event, which took place at Centennial Plaza, showcased not only the race but also jumping balloons, inflatables, yoga and a medal ceremony for the winners of the race in several age groups. The race ran from 8:00 to 11:00 am with all the proceeds to help benefit UTEP’s College of Health Sciences Programs and the Wellness Program.
