10:07 – Trump wins North Carolina, a state in which was heavily challenged by Harris pre-election.
9:38 – Democrat Oscar Ugarte continues to have a large lead against Republican Minerva Torres Shelton in the El Paso County sheriff’s race.
9:16 – Ohio Flips Senate seat to Republican Bernie Moreno. The GOP has now flipped West Virginia and Ohio in the senate.
8:51 – Veronica Escobar wins re-election over Irene Armendariz Jackson. She keeps the Democratic hold over El Paso’s congressional seat.
8:26 – District Attorney Race | James Montoya (Democrat) is elected El Paso’s next district attorney. Montoya won 58% of the early votes as reported by El Paso Matters.
8:13 – Senate Race | Ted Cruz leads with 53.5% of Texas votes.
8:10 – Mayoral Race | Renard Johnson and Brian Kennedy are headed to a runoff.
8:00 – Mayoral Race | Renard Johnson leads in candidate race. Brian Kennedy at second trails by over 13k votes.
7:56 – US Rep Race | District 16, Veronica Escobar leads challenger Irene Armendariz Jackson by over 30k votes.
7:00 – Polls close in El Paso County. Nationally, Kamala Harris receives Illinois’ 19 electoral college votes. Trump still leads 120 to 99 according to AP. Swing states Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona’s polls close.
6:31 – Polls close in El Paso County in less than 30 minutes.
6:07 – Polls in the rest of Texas in the Central Timezone have closed, but those in the Mountain Timezone have just under an hour to get in line to vote.
6:04 – (Presidential Election) The Associated Press (AP) reports that Donald Trump is currently leading in electoral college votes against Kamala Harris leading 95 to 35 as polls continue to close.
5:32 – (Presidential Election) The Associated Press has projected that West Virginia and its four electoral college votes goes to Donald Trump. Trump is ahead 23 to 3 against Kamala Harris.
5:07 – (Presidential Election) The Associated Press has projected that Kentucky and Indiana favors Donald Trump. Kamala Harris is the projected winner of Vermont. Trump leads the electoral college 19 to 3.
2:30 p.m. – Estimated waiting time at the UTEP Union East Building is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. Voting sites close at 7 p.m.
