UTEP may soon see its union buildings revamped following a tight vote amongst its student body.
The Union Referendum passed its student body vote by a margin of just 73 votes. Just nine percent of the student body voted on the matter.
The union proposal now goes to the Texas state legislature for approval.
If approved by the legislature, students will see a gradual increase in union fees over five years.
The Prospector will continue to provide coverage on the Union Referendum.
