Fire officials responded to a fire that took place near campus July 4 that could have possibly been caused by fireworks.
Fire officials responded to a fire that took place Tuesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. on the 2400 block of Campbell, near UTEP campus.
Although there has not been confirmation as to what started the fire, reports from first responders said the cause could have been fireworks.
El Paso Fire tweeted “crews knocked down a brush fire affecting a large area of an empty lot. No injuries reported at this time” as well as to stand by for updates.
