In honor of Women’s month, the Women’s and Gender Studies Department organized a two-day conference, where students, faculty and staff will attend as guests and presenters. The conference based its presentations on gender-related topics, such as domestic violence, pink tax, mental health, LGBTQIA+ identification, COVID post pandemic effects, pregnancy and birth among others. The main events of the conference are the Feminist Trailblazers & Pathfinders panel, the Wise Latina International “Yo Soy Teatro” performance and the Femme Frontera Film Festival. This event will give attendees the opportunity to learn about the effects society has on the individual, especially at the Borderland region.
