UTEP Athletics announced the return of its Miners Kids Club, a program designed to provide young Miner fans with a unique and engaging experience while supporting the Miners.
Sponsored by GECU, the program includes a variety of benefits and opportunities exclusively available to members ages 12 and under. Kids will receive a club ID card and lanyard, and official club t-shirt, and a birthday card from Paydirt Pete. Additionally, kids will receive admission to select UTEP home events and exclusive GECU financial education activities and incentives.
UTEP Athletics director of marketing Rebecca Plescia shared her enthusiasm regarding the program’s return and the positive impact it may have on members’ futures. “We hope that the kids will have a great experience and come back to games after they age out of the Kids Club, attend our athletic camps, and even one day become a student at UTEP or season ticket holder down the line!” Plescia said.
Kids will also have a chance to be randomly selected as the GECU Game Ball Kid of the Game with recognition on the board slide or court with Paydirt Pete and will also receive a 10% discount for their choice of a UTEP Athletic Summer Camp.
Admission to UTEP home events will be based upon availability and must be requested in advance. Events include 2 football games, 4 Men’s Basketball games, and free admission to Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, and Softball.
“I think we have a great opportunity to get kids and families back in our athletic facilities,” Plescia said. “I think everyone is ready for athletic events to bring the atmosphere back to college athletics. I truly think there is no better way to get kids involved than the Kids Club!”
Annual membership for kids ages 12 and under is $45 dollars. Applicants may call (915) 747-5841 or email [email protected] for more information.
