Pride Month, the annual June festival that celebrates the LGBTQ community, is celebrating its 12th edition in El Paso.
Events scheduled to take place in the borderland include Pride Night with the El Paso Chihuahuas, and the annual Pride Parade and Pridefest on June 22.
The Pride Parade will be even more meaningful this year due to the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising where LGBTQ New Yorkers liberated themselves and started a movement of social justice and awareness.
The El Paso parade will have the motto “Celebrating Today by Remembering the Past”.
