Free training to help participants identify and respond to stalking will be held Thursday, Jan. 24 at Miner Canyon-Boquilas Hall. The training is for faculty and staff and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by the student training from 2-4 p.m. Part of Stalking Awareness Month, the seminar is presented by Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education (CARE) and will be facilitated by Director Jennifer Landhuis of the Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center. It will focus on how to identify stalking and appropriate ways to respond, either as a stand-alone issue or as it intersects with domestic violence and sexual assault.
To register, send an email to [email protected] indicating which session you will attend and your contact information no later than Friday, Jan. 18. For information, contact CARE at 915-747-7452 or [email protected].
