It’s “Miner Welcome” week, where the Student Engagement and Leadership Center is hosting a week-long festival to welcome back students to the Fall semester.
This semester, all activities are going to focus on leadership, innovation, vision and engagement.
At the Centennial Plaza on Wednesday, contest that will challenge students innovation skills will occur from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Prizes will also be given away.
A commencement ceremony will be held on Thursday celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. at 10:00 a.m. at the Union Plaza. Students will also be able to share their own vision.
On Friday, students can wear UTEP gear for free cookies and coffee at the Centennial Plaza. Later, the new “IT” movie will be shown at Union Cinema at Union East.
All events are free for students and staff.
