Teams are locked in and slated for the 84th annual Hyundai Sun Bowl as the North Carolina State Wolfpack will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils on Friday, Dec. 29, at 3:00 p.m. MT.
NC State (8-4) is coming into the matchup as the second place team in the ACC Atlantic Division and ranked no. 24 in the nation. They have notable wins under their belt including a 27-21 win over Florida State, a 39-25 win over Louisville and a 33-21 win over rivals North Carolina.
Arizona State (7-5) will return to the Sun Bowl with a much different storyline than they had in 2014 when they came to El Paso. They recently fired head coach Todd Graham, who has a 46-31 overall record through six seasons with the Sun Devils. Although they fired him, Graham will still coach in the Sun Bowl as the program seeks his replacement during the off-season. When the Sun Devils came into the Sun Bowl, they participated in a back-and-forth game against Duke, eventually emerging with a 36-31 victory.
