The Indian Student Association is joining various organizations to hold a vigil in honor of Srinivas Kuchibhotla at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at Centennial Plaza.
The UTEP alum was killed on Wednesday Feb. 22, during a hate crime in Kansas.
Kuchibhotla was 32 years old. He graduated with a master’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 2007, while specializing in digital signal and image processing.
He was originally born in India and was now working for a GPS-making company in Kansas.
Kuchibhotla leaves behind his wife Sunayana and will be remembered as being loving, caring and compassionate to everyone.
