Former Miners Aaron Jones and Hayden Plinke got the call they had been waiting all off-season for as they were both selected to partake in the NFL Scouting Comine from Feb. 28-March 4 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
At the Combine, players from all over the country will be able to showcase their talents on a more personal scale with NFL scouts. They will do medical examinations, interviews, tests, NFLPA meetings, strength test and workouts. Jones and the other running backs will have on-field workouts on March 3 and Plinke and the tight end group will be running theirs on March 4.
Jones and Plinke are two of 11 C-USA athletes to partipate in the combine. While Jones is the only running back from the conference, Plinke is one of two tight ends with Jonnu Smith of FIU joining him.
