UTEP women’s soccer hosted their annual media day prior to the 2015 season. Head coach Kevin Cross and his players were on hand to talk to the various media outlets in attendance, who would later compete amongst each other in a penalty kick competition.

The Lady Miners, who were just picked to finish fourth in Conference USA, are preparing for their first games of the season.

“We finished third last year so we are satisfied,” Cross said concerning the team’s preseason ranking. “But that means nothing, it’s the end of the year that really matters and we want to compete for a championship.”

UTEP will kick off the season when they host Eastern Washington and Abilene Christian on Aug. 21 and 23, respectively, at University Field.
