The Share a Coke Summer Tour made a stop at UTEP, near Leech Grove, Monday afternoon.
The Share A Coke Tour is a public advertisement campaign, which encourages people to personalize their coke cans with a name and share it with a friend or family member.
“The reception from the UTEP students today has been amazing,” said Michelle Lopez, a participant of the Share A Coke Tour campaign. “We have had non-stop lines all day long and the students have been enjoying us here.”
Many students, including senior history major Ian Roa, took pictures of their personalized coke cans and shared them on social media.
“I think it is cool that the Coke Tour came here because it gives us students a recreational activity to do outside of school norms,” Roa said.
The Share a Coke Tour will make 500 stops across America, heading off to New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico next.
