Every Tuesday The Prospector releases a print edition of our publication. This means a long day of work every Monday that usually carries on into late hours of the night.
However, this time around we are producing our centennial edition of The Prospector, which will be 100 pages.
Between editing stories, finding sources, designing pages and the occasional shout-match, The Prospector editors listen to music to help get them through the night.
Here are some of this weeks’ choices:
Jasmine Aguilera, Editor-in-chief: “Take Me Home,” Young The Giant-
Amanda Guillen, Managing editor: “Time of Your Life,” Kid Ink-
Andrea Acosta, Entertainment editor: “Slim Shady,” Eminem-
Luis Gonzalez, Copy editor: “Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble,” D.J. Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince –
Diego Burciaga, Layout editor: “Summertime,” Kat Edmonson-
Jacobo De La Rosa, Assistant layout editor: “So What’cha Want,” Beastie Boys-
Michaela Roman, Photography editor: “Lost in the World,” Kanye West-
Kimberly Valle, Staff Reporter: “Autumn Leaves,” Chris Brown ft. Kendrick Lamar
