Associated Collegiate Press announces The Prospector as a finalist

On Sept. 5, the Associated Collegiate Press announced several finalists from across the nation for best multimedia news, feature and other categories.

The Prospector was chosen as a finalist for best multimedia news story for their coverage on the ASARCO demolition, which took place April 13, 2013.

The Prospector was also chosen as a finalist for the Best of Collegiate Design in the Page One News category for the April 16, 2013 cover.

Minero Magazine was also named a finalist for Best News Magazine Cover in this competition as well for the Fall 2012 issue of the magazine.

Finalists will be notified of their awards in writing and winners will be announced at the ACP/CMA National College Media Convention in New Orleans, Oct. 23-27. For more information about the convention, please visit www.nola13.org.
